We are looking for a Part-time on-call Banquet Server!

Location: Vancouver

The Banquet Server is responsible for serving guest's needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food and beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods in a banquet function setting in the hotel. Position involves both day and evening work.


Skills and Qualification:

  • Must be legally to work in Canada;

  • Good communication skills in the English language;

  • Serving It Right certified, Hepatitis A Vaccination;

  • Previous banquet serving experience in high end catering or hotels ideally;

  • Self-motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills;

  • Strong organizational skills with focus on setting priorities;

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment;

  • Able to meet physical demands of the position, including standing for long period of time, lifting up to 50 lbs and carrying up to 50 lbs at shoulder level with one arm;


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets and food stations according to the banquet event orders;

  • Acts upon food service instructions received from the Banquet Captain / Banquet Manager;

  • Transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality;

  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests;

  • Other duties as required
